Temporary Senior Cleaning Supervisor 30 HRS per week£14.00 per hourJob Purpose To lead, manage, and support the cleaning team to deliver high standards of cleanliness, hygiene, and safety across the site. The Senior Supervisor ensures compliance with service specifications, health & safety regulations, and client expectations while maintaining efficient staffing and operational performance. This is a Temporary position covering sickness and available with immediate startKey Responsibilities Team Leadership & Supervision Supervise and support cleaning staff / site supervisors on a daily basisAllocate duties and manage workloads across all areasConduct inductions, training, and ongoing development of staffPromote a positive, professional team cultureOperational Management Ensure all cleaning tasks are completed to agreed standards and schedulesCarry out regular site inspections and quality auditsManage stock levels of cleaning materials, equipment, and consumablesEnsure correct use and maintenance of cleaning equipmentCoordinate periodic and deep cleaning programmesStaffing & Attendance Manage rotas and shift patterns to meet site requirementsHandle staff absence, arranging cover to maintain service levelsMaintain accurate attendance recordsHealth & Safety Compliance Ensure compliance with all Health & Safety regulations and COSHH requirementsConduct risk assessments and ensure safe systems of work are followedInvestigate and report accidents, incidents, or near missesEnsure correct use of PPE at all timesClient & Communication Act as a key point of contact for the client on siteRespond promptly to client requests, feedback, and complaintsProvide regular updates and reports to managementEnsure excellent customer service standards are maintainedAdministration & Reporting Maintain cleaning schedules, checklists, and audit recordsComplete timesheets, reports, and compliance documentationSkills & Experience Proven experience in a cleaning supervisory or senior roleStrong leadership and team management skillsKnowledge of cleaning methods, equipment, and chemicalsUnderstanding of Health & Safety and COSHH regulationsGood communication and organisational skillsAbility to work flexibly, including evenings and weekends if requiredQualifications (Desirable) CleaningHealth & Safety certification (e.g., IOSH or equivalent)COSHH trainingWorking Hours 30 hours per week, including evenings/weekends as required
