Care Assistant

Job description

Your focus as a Care Assistant will be to deliver high standards of personal care, contributing fully to the care team to ensure continuity of services to residents.

Responsibilities

Assist residents in all personal hygiene care, ensuring independence, dignity, and respect at all times.

Recognise and understand clinical risk areas such as weight loss, pressure sores, risk of falls, and signs of infection, and raise any identified risks in a timely manner.

Act courteously towards residents and visitors, respecting dignity and individuality.

Practice safe systems of work across all tasks.

Requirements

DBS Disclosure check (cost covered by Avery Healthcare).

Proof of eligibility to work in the UK.

No experience required; training and induction will be provided.

Ability to communicate effectively in writing and orally.

Demonstrate initiative and respect for residents and others in the home.

Efficient worker who can follow reasonable instructions from team members.

Adaptable and flexible to cover a range of responsibilities on short notice.

Location: Nights at Chertsey Parklands Care Home, Chertsey.
