Marie Curie continues to deliver compassionate end‐of‐life care across Plymouth through a partnership with University Hospitals Plymouth, supporting patients at Derriford Hospital and Mount Gould Hospital. Together, our teams play a vital role in providing comfort, dignity and person‐centred care to patients and their families during an incredibly important time.

SalaryMarie Curie Clinical Pay Scale – Band 3 (£25,760 – £27,476 per annum, plus enhancements and the full range of Marie Curie employee benefits)

ContractFull‐time and part‐time available

Responsibilities

Provide kind, caring and empathetic support to patients and their families, ensuring their voices, needs and views are heard in a meaningful way

Monitor and assist with patients' skin integrity and personal hygiene

Conduct nutrition assessments and monitor vital signs

Attend to comfort needs, assist with rest and sleep, and support mobility

Promote and maintain a clean and tidy care environment

Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to help curate individual assessments and advance care plans

Qualifications

NVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care or an equivalent Level 3 qualification

Recent experience caring for and supporting patients at the end of life

Passion, knowledge and understanding of person‐centred care

Clear, appropriate and sensitive communication skills, able to make informed decisions in a timely manner

Understanding of prioritising patients' care, comfort and privacy

Experience working within a multidisciplinary team, assisting in curating individual assessments and advance care plans

Knowledge of IT, particularly Microsoft Office and electronic health record systems
