Care Assistant (Care Home)Location: Kirk Lane, Livingston or Holmesview, Broxburn. Permanent full‐time, part‐time or bank posts available.

Compensation and Benefits

Pay: £14.32 – £19.86 per hour (living wage accredited)

Overtime: time plus 33% (£19.05 – £26.41 per hour)

Responsibilities

Promote the highest standards of care within the nursing home

Uphold residents' rights to privacy, dignity and choice

Provide a safe and healthy environment for residents, staff and visitors

Adhere to SSSC Code of Conduct

Maintain a good example at all times in dress, manner, hygiene and behaviour

Report any injuries, disease or dangerous practice to relevant personnel

Maintain correctly written records as required by the company and statutory bodies

Qualifications

Minimum of 1 year care experience, including nursing home, hospital or community setting; student nurses welcome

Experience working with elderly and knowledge of dementia care

Good reasons for working in care may be considered for candidates without prior experience, depending on skill mix

Strong time‐management and prioritisation skills for self and team

Problem‐solving ability and ability to manage diverse situations effectively

Strong oral and written communication skills, especially report writing

Professional appearance and behaviour at all times
