OverviewWe are looking to recruit a dynamic and well‐motivated Health Care Support Worker (HCSW) with good communication and IT skills, a passion for working with people and an interest in food and nutrition.
You will be part of our small, friendly team of Dietitians working in the community and will support the dietitians in delivering care to adults in a variety of settings, including in their own home, care homes, residential care and out‐patient clinic.
You will also have an opportunity to contribute to the development of a new model of dietetic prescribing for Oral Nutritional Supplements (ONS), assisting in the rollout of this service.
Responsibilities
Support dietitians in delivering care to adults across multiple settings.
Perform clinical administration duties using Excel, Word and digital platforms such as Near Me.
Assist in training and education of clients and peers, including nutritional rehabilitation and well‐being.
Participate in undergraduate student training (10–12 per year) and support students in achieving learning outcomes.
Expectations & Flexibility
Provide services flexibly to meet the needs of service users, including weekend and extended hours when necessary.
Be a car owner and hold a full UK driving licence.
If the post operates within Aberdeen City Low Emission Zone, be responsible for all costs associated with entering.
Qualifications
Excellent IT skills, confident with Excel, Word and digital platforms.
Strong communication skills and passion for working with clients.
Interest in food and nutrition and a willingness to support the rollout of ONS prescribing.
