More about this roleSupport people leaving hospital after surgery or illness who need additional assistance to recover at home. This vital care service helps people return home sooner and eases pressure on the NHS.

Driving licence required and access to a vehicle for work. Regular travel across Fife is expected, with some longer‐distance journeys.

Daytime shifts between 9:00‐15:00 and 15:00‐21:00. Part‐time and full‐time roles are available; weekend work and night shifts (21:00‐09:00) may be required.

Previous experience in care is mandatory. Registration with the Scottish Social Services Council (SSSC) is required.

Your responsibilities may include

Assisting with personal care, including continence support, washing and dressing

Managing medications

Cooking or preparing hot meals

In Scotland, all care staff are required to register with the Scottish Social Services Council (SSSC). You must maintain your registration and renew it annually. You must also work toward your SVQ2, which Cera will fund, but there will be a registration fee payable by the employee.
