(Part-time) Clinical Psychologist - CAMHS Outreach ServiceAre you looking for a new role supporting young people with mental health challenges? Are you a registered Clinical or Counselling Psychologist?
An opportunity has arisen within our Outreach Service for Children and Adolescents (OSCA) for a part-time Clinical or Counselling Psychologist.
You will be part of our Buckinghamshire Mental Health Service. The service is designed to provide young people with expert help from a single point of access, and is part of the wider multi-disciplinary Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service (CAMHS).
OSCA aims to engage and support children, young people and families/ carers with complex needs by means of individualised home and community treatment packages.
This is a part‐time working 30 hours per week, fixed term maternity cover position being offered for a period of 10 months.
Main duties of the jobThe post holder will work as part of a multi-disciplinary team that offers a whole systems approach to meet the mental health needs of young people.
The service aims include:
Supporting children and young people to overcome mental health difficulties
Reducing children and young people's vulnerability to mental health crisis
Maximising children and young people's resilience
Supporting young people to develop and achieve holistic goals that build a life worth living
Enabling children and young people with high levels of mental health need to be supported in their own homes or placements
Offering choice to children, young people and their families and carers
Offering advice, support and supervision to systems supporting young people, such as Children's Services, youth services, schools, substance misuse services and youth offending services.

This is an exciting post and would suit someone who hopes to develop their skills in the Outreach Team which forms part of the wider Complex and Vulnerable Young Peoples Pathway within Buckinghamshire CAMHS.

Person SpecificationQualifications
Doctoral level training in clinical psychology including specifically models of psychopathology and psychometrics, two or more distinct psychological therapies and lifespan developmental psychology as accredited by the BPS.
Pre‐qualification training and qualifications in research methodology, staff training and/or other fields of applied psychology.
Knowledge
Skills in the use of complex methods of psychological assessment, intervention and management frequently requiring sustained and intense concentration.
Knowledge of the theory and practice of specialised psychological therapies in specific difficult to treat groups.
Experience
Experience of specialist psychological assessment and treatment of CAMHS clients across the full range of care settings, including outpatient, community, primary care and in patient settings.
Experience of multiagency working
