Have you got a desire for Advanced Practice?The Haematology Advanced Clinical Practitioner (ACP) is a highly experienced and educated clinical professional who has developed their skills and theoretical knowledge to a very high standard. They function as part of the medical team in haematology and oncology care and are empowered to make high-level clinical decisions in the diagnosis and treatment of patients with haematological illness.The Trust has now moved into Midland Metropolitan University Hospital (MMUH) and the Haematology Team are looking for an ACP (trainees with haematology experience will be considered) to join our team. The role will include taking an active role in clinics, MDT's and proceduresMain duties of the job To provide specialist input to haematology patientsApplicants, once fully trained and qualified will be expected to accurately assess and manage complex patients to a high professional standard, predominantly as an outpatient. There will be an opportunity to undertake critical procedures and be part of our planned straight to test pathway for LymphomasYou will also have high standards of communication skills to be able to discuss patients and their care with a wide range of different members of the MDT, including the patients parent consultant team.Work alongside the wider Haematology team to ensure the best care is provided to our patients.About us Sandwell and West Birmingham NHS Trust (SWB) serves Birmingham and the Black Country - one of the country's most culturally diverse areas.
