Junior Software Engineer

UK (Locations are London / Manchester / Newcastle/ Glasgow – 1/2x per month in office)

We are currently recruiting for a Junior Full Stack Engineer to join a leading global consultancy within their Business Technology practice. This is an excellent opportunity for early-career engineers to gain hands‐on experience delivering digital transformation solutions across a range of industries.

The RoleYou will work within a multidisciplinary team to design, build, and deliver modern digital solutions for enterprise clients. This role offers strong exposure to both engineering and consulting, supporting end‐to‐end delivery across the software development lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

Build and integrate RESTful APIs and microservices

Collaborate with stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical solutions

Contribute to Agile delivery, including sprint planning, backlog refinement, and testing

Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues, ensuring high‐quality delivery

Required Experience

Minimum 1 year of commercial, full‐time experience working with Java

Strong understanding of core programming concepts and object‐oriented principles

Degree in Computer Science or a related discipline

Experience with frameworks such as Spring Boot

Familiarity with Git or other version control tools

Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS, Azure)

Understanding of databases such as MongoDB or MySQL
