Role: Senior Healthcare Assistant (Band 3)
Location: University Hospitals Plymouth (on-site)
Salary: Marie Curie Clinical Pay Scale – Band 3 (aligned with AFC) £25,760 – £27,476 per annum + enhancements, and a whole list of Marie Curie employee benefits.
Contract: Full‐time and Part‐time available.
Responsibilities
Monitor and assist in maintaining patients' skin integrity and personal hygiene.
Conduct nutrition assessments.
Attend to comfort needs to assist with rest/sleep.
Provide support with mobility.
Monitor vital signs.
Promote and maintain a clean and tidy care environment.
Qualifications
NVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care, or an equivalent Level 3 qualification.
Recent experience caring for and supporting patients at the end of life.
A passion, knowledge and understanding of how to deliver person‐centred care.
A clear, appropriate and sensitive communicator who can make informed decisions in a timely manner.
A deep understanding of the importance of prioritising a patient's care, comfort and privacy.
Experience working within a multidisciplinary team, assisting in curating individual assessments and advanced care plans.
Knowledge of IT, especially Microsoft Office and electronic health record systems.
