Job Description Casa Environmental Services have an exciting opportunity for a Trainee Asbestos Surveyor to gain skills and industry qualifications and rise through the ranks.We are looking for a full-time Trainee who is based in the Southwest – proximity to Plymouth would be preferred. The candidate must be capable of working in a fast-paced environment and enjoy working diligently to meet and exceed client expectations in delivering a first-class service to our valued client base.In recent years, Casa Environmental has become one of the leading asbestos consultancies in the Southwest, delivering the highest standards of asbestos consultancy work to Housing Associations, Local Authorities, Government Departments, the NHS, Major Construction Companies and many other sectors. This role will support expansion into the Southeast.The successful candidate will be mentored through Casa's in-house training programme and will be trained and supported to achieve industry recognised qualifications, such as BOHS P402 "Surveying and Sampling Strategies for Asbestos in Buildings". You will work on a variety of different sites and in various locations across the Southwest of the UK. No two days will be the same as each working day will allow you to gain a diverse range of skills within the industry. The role is technical, physical, and hands-on. It will require you to physically and visually inspect buildings, capturing building construction and material data along with drawing electronic site plans.Basic understanding of DIY, the building trade/ construction industryGood understanding of technology (use of tablet-based applications)Full UK Driving LicencePrimary Duties: Building inspections – to include, Management and Refurbishment/ Demolition Asbestos SurveysLiaise with tenants and client representatives in a professional mannerSampling in accordance with HSE Guidance HSG264/ HSG248, and in-house technical proceduresRecord data accurately on company database, via a tablet deviceAccurately record sample information onto sample bags and sample labelsProduce accurate electronic site plans, where necessary and accurately record all sample locations and material extent onto final plansCheck plans against data on tablet and sample bags, prior to submissionEnsure all samples taken are submitted to the laboratory for analysis, within the client specified time frameQuality Assurance checks of report accuracyBenefits of Working with Casa Environmental Services At Casa Environmental Services we believe the key to a successful organisation is to engage, listen, motivate and value all of our employees and to set them on a path of progression and achievement during their employment.
