About the RoleJoin Fern Brook Lodge Care Home as a Care & Support Assistant on the Bank Team (Days or Nights). Your main responsibility is to provide person‐centred care to residents, ensuring their safety, wellbeing and happiness.

Location: Fern Brook Lodge, Shaftesbury Road, Gillingham, Dorset SP8 4QD

Bank – Flexible Shifts: No guaranteed hours. Shift patterns:Day: 08:00‐20:00 (full shift), 08:00‐14:00 (morning), 14:00‐20:00 (afternoon).Night: 20:00‐08:00.

Key Responsibilities

Assist residents with personal care and mobility needs.

Encourage and support residents to stay independent and active.

Build genuine friendships and provide companionship.

Support residents in daily living and personal hygiene.

Ensure a positive, team‐focused atmosphere within the home.

Follow the HEART values – Honesty, Excellence, Approach, Respect and Teamwork – in all interactions.

Qualifications & Experience

Must be 18 years or older.

No previous care experience required; customer‐service experience, community support or strong empathy is desirable.

Unable to offer visa sponsorship.
