Senior Residential Support Worker – Compass Homes

Location: Hemsworth, West Yorkshire

Salary: £32,096 – £34,800 (inclusive of sleep-ins)

Working Hours: Full-time, shift pattern including sleep-ins

Number of Sleeps Required: As per rota

Pay Per Sleep: £50 per night

Service: Children's Home

Service Users: YPs aged 10–18 | SEMH, Complex Needs, Trauma

Qualifications Required: NVQ Level 3 Diploma in Children & Young People Workforce

Experience in Years Required: Minimum 2 years residential childcare experience

Employment Type: Permanent

The Home:

Location: Hemsworth, West Yorkshire

Type of YPs: Children and young people with SEMH, trauma, and complex needs

Ratio of staff to children: High staffing to meet individual needs

Who we are looking for...

Experienced, caring, and resilient Senior Residential Support Worker

Age 22+ to meet Ofsted regulations

NVQ Level 3 in Children & Young People Workforce

Minimum 2 years experience working in residential childcare

Full UK Manual Driving Licence

Leadership experience: supervising staff, leading shifts, managing rotas, policies, procedures, risk assessments, ensuring placement plans and education support are followed

Ability to build positive, long‐term relationships with children

Committed to safeguarding and promoting welfare

Do not apply for this role if any of the following apply:

You do not hold a Full UK Driving Licence and do not have a car

You only hold a Level 3 in Health & Social Care (not deemed equivalent)

Candidates with only HealthCare, NHS, CQC, or Nursery Practitioner qualifications

You require sponsorship – no sponsorship available

Individuals with only CQC experience and who have not worked in an Ofsted Registered Children's Home will not be considered.
