A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an International Tax Assistant Manager to join the in‐house tax function of a leading international law firm. This is a newly created role within a collaborative, well‐regarded team that supports the firm's global operations across the UK and EMEA.
About the RoleReporting directly to the Senior Tax Manager, you will play a central role in delivering high‐quality international tax support to the firm. This is a broad, hands‐on position that offers genuine variety and high-impact work, including exposure to:
Permanent Establishment (PE) analysis and maintenance
International tax compliance across multiple jurisdictions
Advisory support on cross‐border matters, partner movements, and firm structuring
Transfer Pricing assistance (policy review, documentation, and coordination with global advisors)
Supporting tax risk management initiatives across the network
Liaising with overseas offices to ensure consistent, compliant tax processes
Working closely with Finance, Legal, HR, and external advisors
The firm offers excellent support and guidance on the non‐UK aspects, making this a great step for someone who has solid UK experience and wants to develop true international exposure.
What We're Looking ForIdeal for someone stepping out of practice into their first in‐house role, or those already in industry seeking broader international exposure.
You will ideally be:
ACA or ACCA qualified (newly qualified assistant manager level encouraged)
CTA or ATT qualified or studying — beneficial but not essential
Experienced in International Tax, Corporate Tax, Transfer Pricing, or a mixed-tax role
Comfortable analysing cross‐border issues and keen to broaden your technical expertise
