Anderson Knight is delighted to be partnering with a leading utilities and civil’s business who are looking to appoint a strong Commercial Manager
As Commercial Manager you will have extensive experience in the utilities and civil engineering sectors, supported by a strong Quantity Surveying background and a proven track record of successfully delivering complex infrastructure, Utilities and construction projects.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Highly skilled in commercial management across the full project lifecycle, with extensive experience in contract administration, cost control, procurement, risk management, and stakeholder engagement within complex project environments.
- Proven track record of leading and developing high-performing commercial and operational teams, fostering collaboration, accountability, and a strong performance-driven culture.
- Experienced in driving project performance through effective financial oversight, strategic planning, and operational management to ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget.
- Focused on maximising profitability by identifying commercial opportunities, improving efficiencies, controlling costs, and ensuring full compliance with contractual obligations, governance standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Adept at building and maintaining strong client relationships, acting as a trusted commercial partner while supporting successful project delivery and long-term business development objectives.
- Extensive experience in commercial contract management, including contract negotiation, change management, dispute resolution, and ensuring contractual risks are effectively managed and mitigated.
- Skilled in overseeing budgets, forecasting financial performance, monitoring cash flow, and delivering accurate commercial reporting to support informed strategic decision-making.
- Experienced in implementing and driving commercial strategies that support sustainable business growth, improve operational efficiency, and enhance overall organisational performance.
