Locum Pharmacist, Inpatients

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Pharmacist to join a busy NHS hospital team through our agency. This is a fantastic opportunity for a clinical pharmacist looking for a rewarding locum role with competitive rates and flexible working arrangements.

The Role

You will provide ward-based clinical pharmacy services across a variety of inpatient wards, supporting multidisciplinary teams to ensure safe and effective medicines management.

Key Responsibilities

• Clinical screening of inpatient prescriptions
• Medicines reconciliation on admission and discharge
• Supporting ward rounds and multidisciplinary team meetings
• Providing clinical advice to medical and nursing staff
• Ensuring safe and effective use of medicines
• Supporting discharge planning and patient counselling

Requirements

• Current registration with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC)
• Previous NHS hospital ward experience essential
• Strong clinical and communication skills
• Ability to work independently within a fast-paced environment
• Electronic prescribing system experience desirable
