Are you an Operating Department Practitioner (ODP), looking for additional weekend work? Here at 18 Week Support, we have an exciting opportunity to support a well-established NHS Trust in the Hampshire area within a busy Urology Surgery service.


This is an excellent opportunity to work alongside experienced theatre teams in a well-supported, patient-focused environment while benefiting from flexible additional sessions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in the delivery of safe, high-quality perioperative care within Urology theatre settings.
  • Prepare and maintain theatre environments, ensuring equipment and instruments are ready for surgical procedures.
  • Support anaesthetists and theatre practitioners during induction, maintenance, and recovery phases of anaesthesia.
  • Monitor patients throughout the perioperative pathway, ensuring safety, dignity, and comfort at all times.
  • Work collaboratively with theatre, anaesthetic, and recovery teams to ensure smooth patient flow and safe handovers.
  • Maintain accurate clinical documentation and adhere to all relevant policies, protocols, and safety standards.


Requirements

  • Registered ODP with HCPC registration.
  • Current experience working within as an ODP for a minimum of 6 months within the last 12 months.
  • Proven NHS experience.
  • Strong clinical, communication, and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary theatre team.
