Legal Counsel

Derby (Hybrid – 2 days office)

NQ – 3 PQE

An excellent opportunity for a commercial lawyer to join the in-house legal team of a growing and highly regarded business operating in a fast-moving and resilient sector.

This role would suit someone looking to make an early move in-house whilst gaining genuinely broad commercial exposure and strong long-term development opportunities.

The position will focus primarily on commercial contracts, supporting stakeholders across a wide range of business areas and projects. The legal team is relatively lean, giving the successful candidate excellent visibility across the organisation and the opportunity to work closely with senior stakeholders from an early stage.

Alongside commercial contracts work, the role will also provide exposure to corporate projects, governance, regulatory matters, procurement, employment support and disputes.

The business offers a collaborative and supportive environment with a strong emphasis on mentoring, development and helping lawyers build commercial judgement early in their careers.

The successful candidate will ideally be:

• England & Wales qualified

• NQ – 3 PQE

• Commercially minded with strong communication skills

• Keen to develop within a broad in-house role
