About the Role

An exciting opportunity for an experienced Associate Cost Manager to join a leading construction consultancy working across major infrastructure projects within the British Isles. This role is suited to someone looking to progress into a leadership position and who thrives in a fast-paced, challenging environment.

Working within a multi-disciplinary team, you will play a key role in delivering high-value infrastructure schemes, with a particular focus on tunnelling projects. The successful candidate will be eager to develop professionally while contributing to the continued growth and success of the business.


Skills and Experience

  • Degree qualified within a construction related discipline.
  • MRICS qualified with up to 10 years post-chartered experience in relevant sectors.
  • Strong infrastructure experience including utilities, roads, rail and tunnelling projects.
  • Demonstrable tunnelling project experience is essential.
  • Excellent cost advisory and cost management experience.
  • Proficient in Excel with strong working knowledge across all Microsoft Office packages.
  • Balanced pre and post contract experience on large-scale and complex projects.
  • Previous experience working within a construction consultancy environment.
  • Proven ability to manage projects from inception through to completion with minimal supervision.
  • Strong stakeholder management and relationship-building skills.
  • Commercially aware with a proactive and ambitious approach to career progression.
  • Team-focused with experience mentoring and supporting junior team members.
  • Knowledge and experience of regulated industries and regulatory regimes would be advantageous.


Key Responsibilities

  • Acting as a key point of contact across multiple infrastructure projects and professional teams.
  • Managing multiple or complex projects while ensuring high standards of service delivery.
  • Ensuring projects are delivered on time and within budget.
  • Building and maintaining strong professional relationships across project teams and stakeholders.
  • Taking ownership of projects while maintaining attention to detail and awareness of the wider project objectives.
  • Leading projects from start to finish with minimal supervision.
  • Supporting, mentoring and empowering junior team members.
  • Reporting to senior leadership and escalating issues where appropriate.
  • Supporting wider team responsibilities including resource allocation and fee management.
