Key Responsibilities

• Process new business, renewals, and policy amendments across varied commercial products, applying growing technical judgement while developing sophisticated risk evaluation and pricing skills across different product categories
• Cultivate broker partnerships through digital and in-person interaction, strengthening your commercial understanding and product knowledge across diverse classes while supporting Birmingham's market position
• Partner with seasoned colleagues throughout regional operations, accessing ongoing guidance and mentorship to accelerate professional growth and direct your career advancement through structured development
• Build trading and negotiation capabilities across multiple products, operating within granted authority parameters while cultivating commercial awareness, market understanding, and broader industry knowledge

Qualifications:

• Background in underwriting or broking at Trainee, Assistant, Development, or Mid-Market capacity with solid analytical abilities and authentic ambition to expand technical expertise across varied commercial products
• Solid commercial understanding (or commitment to developing it) with confident interpersonal and relationship capabilities, showing curiosity and enthusiasm for continuous professional learning
• Grasp of FCA compliance requirements with a collaborative approach and genuine enthusiasm for directing your professional advancement in an organisation prioritising training and development
