Associate – TMT Investment Banking (EMEA)

Job description

We are working with a leading global investment bank that is looking to add an Associate to its Technology, Media & Telecoms (TMT) Investment Banking team in London. The group advises blue‑chip corporates and financial sponsors across the EMEA region on complex strategic transactions, including public and private M&A, equity and debt financing, and broader corporate finance situations.

This is an excellent opportunity for a high‑performing Associate to join a platform with strong deal flow, deep sector relationships in technology and digital infrastructure, and a clear growth agenda in EMEA TMT coverage.

The Role

• Support the origination and execution of M&A and capital markets transactions across TMT subsectors in EMEA, working closely with senior bankers.
• Build and review detailed financial models, valuations and transaction materials for live deals and pitches.
• Prepare client presentations, information memoranda and internal committee documents to a high standard.
• Conduct in‑depth sector and company research across technology, media and telecoms to support idea generation and marketing.
• Coordinate due diligence workstreams with internal product partners and external advisers across multiple jurisdictions.
• Help mentor and develop analysts, contributing to a collaborative, high‑performance team culture.

Candidate Profile

• Around 2–4 years' experience in investment banking (M&A, sector coverage or leveraged finance) or a closely related advisory environment, ideally with exposure to TMT or high‑growth technology clients.
• Strong technical skills in financial modelling, valuation and transaction execution, with experience on cross‑border situations an advantage.
• Ability to manage multiple live workstreams under tight deadlines while maintaining exceptional attention to detail.
• Clear and confident communication skills, comfortable interacting with internal stakeholders and, over time, with clients.
• Genuine interest in the technology, media and digital sectors and desire to build a long‑term career in TMT investment banking.
