We are delighted to partner with an award-winning and specialist regulatory consultancy firm, who provide expert compliance advice a range of firms across Financial Services, as they look to appoint a Senior Consultant to join their growing Insurance & Credit practice, in a newly created role.
Key responsibilities of the Senior Consultant;
- Provide support with FCA applications across insurance, consumer credit and mortgage firms;
- Answer clients' technical queries on regulation and provide support for these authorisation applications;
- Write audit reports clients upon review of their regulatory framework and controls;
- Keep up to date with FCA and industry wide developments to assist clients;
- Review and analyse client documentation to a competent standard whilst applying the relevant legal and regulatory frameworks.;
- Become a trusted advisor and first point of contact for firms.
Experience and qualities required of the Senior Consultant;
- Working and demonstrable knowledge of regulations within the insurance industry;
- Similar knowledge within the consumer credit and mortgage industry is desirable but not absolutely essential;
- Awareness of the wider implications of applying regulation in practice, so you understand the "why" as much as the "what" and can communicate that with clients clearly;
- Be articulate in communications both written and verbally with a high attention to detail;
- Adaptable to the changing requirements of regulations and have a strong willingness to develop their knowledge and skillsets;
- Comfortable to work within a team, whilst also having own initiative.
