HGV Class 2 Driver – Stepps – Multi Drop – Ongoing Work - £15.25 - £18.50 Per Hour - Weekly Pay

People Solutions are currently recruiting for an HGV Class 2 Driver to join our well-established client based in Stepps. This is a fantastic opportunity offering excellent hourly rates, consistent work, and long-term development, making it suitable for both experienced and newly passed HGV Class 2 Drivers.

This role would suit applicants who have worked as an LGV Class 2 Driver, Category C Driver, or Lorry Driver.

Shifts: Day shifts with early starts

Pay rate: £15.25 - £18.50 per hour

Day-to-Day Duties:

As an HGV Class 2 Driver, your duties will include:

• Operating Class 2 vehicles safely and efficiently
• Delivering products to business customers, sometimes with assistance from a Driver's Mate
• Loading and unloading vehicles in a safe and careful manner
• Carrying out pre- and post-journey vehicle checks
• Ensuring all loads are secure and compliant with safety regulations
• Following assigned delivery routes and schedules
• Communicating effectively with dispatch teams and customers
• Some handball work required

Essential Skills:

The skills required to be a HGV Class 2 Driver are:

• Valid UK Category C Licence
• Valid UK CPC Card and Digital Tachograph Card
• No more than six penalty points for minor offences (no IN, DR, DD, or CD codes)
• Reliable, punctual, and professional attitude
• Good communication and customer service skills
• Strong understanding of traffic laws and road safety regulations
• Ability to work effectively as part of a two-person delivery team

Desirable Experience:

• Previous commercial or multi-drop driving experience
• Experience delivering large or bulky items
• Customer-facing delivery experience

Training Provided:

• Full industry-related training and ongoing support throughout the assignment
