Class 2 HGV Driver General Haulage

Pay Rate: £15.50 per hour

About the Role

Recruit A Driver are currently recruiting experienced Class 2 (Category C) Drivers for a well-established general haulage operation based in Morley, Leeds.

This role involves curtain-side deliveries of palletised general haulage goods using automatic gearbox vehicles. Drivers can expect up to 10 drops per day with customer offload deliveries and no tail lift work required.

This is a fantastic opportunity for reliable drivers looking for consistent weekday work with a supportive transport team and long-term opportunities available.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver palletised general haulage goods across regional routes
• Complete up to 10 drops per shift
• Operate curtain-side Class 2 vehicles with automatic gearboxes
• Ensure loads are safely secured and transported
• Maintain accurate paperwork and professional driving standards
• Deliver excellent customer service at delivery points

Requirements

• Valid UK Class 2 (Category C) Licence
• Valid CPC Qualification and Digital Tachograph Card
• Previous experience operating curtain-side vehicles
• Reliable, punctual, and professional attitude
• Physically fit and comfortable opening curtains
• No more than 6 penalty points for minor offences preferred
