The Role – Area Account Manager

This is a field-based role covering retail, merchant and distribution customers across your region. You will be responsible for managing and developing customer relationships, supporting sales growth and delivering product training and account support in the field.

Key responsibilities include:

• Visiting customers across your territory (retailers, merchants and distributors)
• Building and maintaining strong working relationships at branch level
• Supporting national and regional account activity locally
• Delivering product training and showcasing new ranges
• Assisting with promotional and marketing activity in-store and on site
• Working closely with internal sales and marketing teams

This is a structured entry-level field sales role with full training provided and clear progression into senior account management.

The Ideal Candidate for the Area Account Manager role

We are looking for someone with the right attitude and potential rather than direct field sales experience.

You will ideally have:

• Experience in trade counter, retail, showroom, internal sales or customer service
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills
• A professional, organised and proactive approach
• Confidence speaking with customers face-to-face
• A genuine interest in moving into field sales
• Motivation to build a long-term career within a growing business

The package for the Area Account Manager

• £30,000 basic salary
• £5,000 paid monthly
