Are you a Psychology Graduate looking to gain hands-on experience in education, mental health or child development? Are you considering a future career as a Psychologist, Counsellor, Therapist or Teacher?

A welcoming Specialist School in Oxford is seeking a motivated and enthusiastic graduate to join their team either ASAP or in September and work as a Learning Support Assistant. This is an excellent opportunity to work closely with children who have a range of Special Educational Needs (SEN) including Autism, Speech and Language Needs, Sensory Processing Difficulties, Physical Disabilities and Communication Needs.

As a Learning Support Assistant, you will:

Support pupils on a 1:1 basis and in small groups.

Help students overcome emotional, behavioural and learning barriers.

Apply psychological theory and behaviour strategies in the classroom.

Create a safe, engaging and positive learning environment.

Work alongside Teachers, Therapists and SEN professionals.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a graduate looking to gain valuable experience before pursuing a career in Educational Psychology, Clinical Psychology, Counselling, Speech and Language Therapy, Mental Health Services or Teaching. You will gain relevant safeguarding training, and help support the schools fully-integrated therapy programme.

The school are looking for a motivated graduate who is friendly, proactive and enthusiastic. Previous experience working with children is desirable but not essential. You will need to have resilience and a positive can-do attitude.
