OverviewIKEA Southampton are looking for a Visual Merchandiser to join our creative and passionate team.

Responsibilities

Use visual merchandising competence to strengthen the uniqueness of the IKEA identity in range presentation solutions in the store by working with store layout, range presentation and vitality.

Understand the local market to plan and implement relevant, inspiring, affordable and commercial range presentation solutions that reflect a wide variety of styles, price levels, meet the many individual tastes and exceed visitors' expectations.

Collaborate with the Communication & Interior Design team and other functions, act quickly to exploit commercial opportunities and understand the impact of actions on the financial results.

Work with the commercial calendar to implement range changes.

Qualifications

Degree or experience in a relevant creative field.

Working knowledge of design software such as Autocad, REVIT, Adobe Creative Suite and Microsoft Office (preferred).

Passion for home furnishings, design and how people live, with the ability to generate new ideas to inspire customers.

Hands‐on approach, comfortable using hand tools and working at heights.

Start date 28th June; work 39 hours per week, Monday to Friday, with occasional weekend shifts.

Base salary £27,550 full‐time equivalent (pro‐rated for part‐time).
