Senior Care Assistant – NightsShift Pattern: 8:00 pm – 8:00 amLocation: Glenholme Wendreth Court, March, Cambridgeshire, PE15 8QT

Pay Rate

£14.35 per hour – for those with NVQ/QCF Level 3 in Health and Social Care

Contract TypePermanent – 3 shifts per week33 hours per week including unpaid breaksAlternate weekends required

Glenholme Healthcare is looking for compassionate, dedicated, and experienced Senior Care Assistants to join our night team at Wendreth Court, our purpose-built care home in March, Cambridgeshire.

As a Senior Care Assistant, you will lead by example, support the wider care team during shifts, and help deliver exceptional person-centred care in a warm and welcoming environment.

What You Will Do as a Senior Care AssistantWe are looking for passionate and hardworking individuals who are committed to supporting residents to live fulfilling and meaningful lives while promoting independence, dignity, choice, and inclusion.

Your responsibilities will include:

Mentoring and supporting care staff during shifts

Administering and managing medication safely and accurately

Completing audits and updating care plans

Leading by example in delivering high-quality, person-centred care

Supporting residents with daily living activities and personal care

Promoting residents' independence, wellbeing, and dignity

Working closely with families to ensure they feel involved and part of the Glenholme family

Liaising with healthcare professionals and the wider multidisciplinary team

Maintaining accurate records and documentation

Following safeguarding, infection control, and health & safety procedures

Supporting the smooth running of the home during night shifts

About YouThe ideal candidate will:

Hold an NVQ/QCF Level 2 or Level 3 in Health and Social Care

Have previous experience working within a care environment

Demonstrate strong leadership and communication skills

Be compassionate, reliable, and committed to delivering excellent care

Be able to work effectively as part of a team

Have a positive attitude and a person-centred approach

Be confident supporting and mentoring other staff members
