Pay & Package

Hours: 42 hours per week (full-time)

Location: NE23 1WG

Annual Leave: Minimum 20 days plus bank holidays

Hourly Pay RatesEmergency Care Assistant (PAYE) – Days £15.75 per hour

Emergency Care Assistant (PAYE) – Nights (Monday–Thursday) £16.40 per hour

Emergency Care Assistant (PAYE) – Nights (Friday–Sunday) £17.25 per hour

Shift Patterns

5 on / 4 off

4 on / 5 off

(24/7 rota including days, nights, weekends, and public holidays)

Safer Recruitment Requirements

Full UK Driving Licence (Category B)

Level 4 Certificate in First Response Emergency Care (FREC 4) or Level 3 Diploma in Ambulance Emergency and Urgent Care Support

Previous patient-facing or frontline experience

Strong communication and teamwork skills

Calm, compassionate, and professional approach

Ability to successfully complete all safer recruitment checks including:

Enhanced DBS check

Occupational Health clearance

Right to Work checks

Driving licence checks

Employment reference checks
