Healthcare Support Worker – Western Community Hospital, Southampton Enter the NHS as a Healthcare Support Worker and receive full training and career progression opportunities.Responsibilities Work closely with patients, families and carers to ensure a positive and supportive experience, as part of a multi‐disciplinary team.Support patients in developing independence and daily living skills, including personal hygiene, diet and fluids and participation in social activities as outlined in their Care Plan.Assist and support qualified staff, carrying out assigned tasks as directed, including housekeeping duties where required, without supervision.Demonstrate excellent communication skills – engage, persuade and negotiate with clients with complex or challenging needs to secure the most appropriate care and support.Working Hours Flexible full‐time shifts, including weekends, nights and bank holidays.Qualifications Right to work in the UK at the time of application.No requirement for skilled worker visa sponsorship at the present time.Benefits & Salary An induction programme of up to 6 months will be provided – you'll receive an initial salary of £25,272 and, upon completion, a salary of £25,760.
