ROLE SUMMARY To provide high qualityphysicalcare to service users, includingassistancewith bathing, grooming, personalhygieneand other daily living activitieswhenrequired.To support service users with essential household tasks such as grocery shopping, laundry, cleaning and the preparation and serving of mealswhen needed.To administer medication safely andin accordance withindividual care plans, ensuringaccuraterecordkeeping and adherence to agreed proceduresif necessary.To routinelymonitorand record vital signs including temperature, pulse,respirationand weightifrequired.To organise andfacilitateappropriate recreationalactivities that encourage engagement, boost wellbeing, and contribute positively to the service user's quality of lifeas needed.To promptly report any changes or concerns to theappropriate personnel.To communicate effectively with family members and healthcare professionals, offering informed recommendations that contribute to the development and review of the service users care planwhen needed.To work collaboratively with multidisciplinary professionals to ensure that each service user receives the most effective,coordinatedandperson-centredcare.To deliver careina mannerthat is respectful,inclusiveand sensitive toeachindividual'sculture, disability, race, age, sexuality, marital or civilpartnershipstatus,transgenderstatus and religion or belief.To preparation and implementation of daily activities as directed by seniorAssisted Livesstaff orby service usersoutlined in care planswhen necessary.Assistmeeting the personal care needs of our service usersincludingassistancewith eating,toileting, bathing, dressing and other household tasksifrequired.Support service users with meal preparation, serving meals, shopping,laundryand administrating medicationwhen needed.Escort oraccompanyservice users to appointments, outings and eventsifrequired.Promote the physical, emotional,socialand cultural needs ofserviceusers, using aperson-centredapproachas needed.Maintain professional, positive relationships with service users, theirfamiliesand other stakeholders.Teamwork and FlexibilitySupport colleagues and work flexibly, including covering sessions during staff shortages, annual leave or sickness absencewhenrequired.When needed contribute to effective team working and share relevant information appropriately.Administration and Record KeepingMaintainaccuraterecords relating to care delivery, incidents, or change in service users' circumstances.Assistin creating shopping lists and other client records, the ability to understand and speak English to a standard.Experience – DesirablePreviousexperience of working (paid or voluntary) in a social care setting or experience of caring/looking after family members.Abilities– EssentialTo work with a range of Service Users, including people with learning disabilities, physical disabilities as well as older people.To work as a team member also to work alone whenrequired(in many cases in the Service Users own home)Ability to follow both written and verbal instructions and guidelines.Ability tomaintainand enhance the Aims &objectivesof the organization.Ability to communicate with people at all levels, whether these be Service Users, family/carers to professionals and senior managers within the organization.Circumstances/Health– DesirableMust be honest and trustworthy.You must be able to work in a flexible manner.Must be able tomaintainenthusiasm in difficult, demanding and sometimesvery
