Main duties of the jobA great opportunity has arisen to join us as a Fixed Term Healthcare Support Worker working on Cedar Ward at Chippenham hospital. Working as a Health Care Support Worker you will be an essential member of the multi‐disciplinary team providing high standard of care for patients as well as support and comfort to family members, friends and carers. In addition to essential care and support you will have the opportunity to develop additional skills, including the monitoring and recording of patient observations, ECGs and phlebotomy. We are open to conversations around flexible working patterns and request that you note we are unable to offer overseas sponsorship at this time. Main Responsibilities

To work within a multi‐professional team in an Inpatient setting, providing support, care and treatment to individuals within guidelines and protocols identified for the role, including maintaining personal hygiene, continence, mobility, nutrition and hydration. You will be expected to provide a high level of essential care to meet the needs of patients in the ward, promote rehabilitation, encouraging patients to regain and maintain as much independence as possible.

Physical skills to manually handle patients and use appropriate lifting aids.
