Band 3 HealthCare Support Worker – Gynaecology ClinicsWe are looking for an individual with an interest in women's health and previous experience in Gynaecology to support the Gynaecology clinics.

Key Responsibilities

Work on own initiative and as part of the wider clinic team.

Manage some clinics independently and support trained nurses.

Perform general HCA duties within Gynaecology.

Provide immunisation and vaccination reports as required.

Support patient interactions, ensuring observations are communicated appropriately.

Undertake agreed clinical and non‐clinical tasks, including cannulation and venepuncture.

Organise daily workload, use and clean medical equipment.

Set up specific clinics, ensuring they are well stocked and ready for use.

Order stores, manage stock rotation, and adhere to budgets.

Complete documentation timely and in line with clinic standards.

Label specimens correctly and deliver to the correct department.

Support less experienced staff in orientation to the clinic and role.

Utilise IT systems to secure accurate patient data.

Support the team during clinical events requiring significant physical effort.

Assist staff and patients in difficult situations, e.g., after bad news.

Maintain a clean, safe environment in compliance with Trust standards.

Promote and monitor adherence to Health and Safety and Trust policy.

Attend departmental meetings and contribute to continuous service development.

Participate in the development of operational goals and objectives for the department, recommending, implementing and administering methods and procedures to enhance operations.

Qualifications & Requirements

Interest in women's health.

Previous experience within Gynaecology settings.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Knowledge of Health and Safety, including infection prevention and control.

Proficiency in using IT systems relevant to patient data management.

Strong communication skills.
