Job description

Salary: £12.71 – £14.00 per hour

Job Responsibilities

Wash and dress patients, toilet, make beds, provide individual patient care

Serve meals and help feed elderly patients

Aid in patient mobility

Communicate with patients to provide comfort

Monitor patients' conditions (temperature, weight, etc.) and report to senior staff

Prepare seating and dining area

Record keeping, including writing daily care plans

Required Skills and Personal Traits

Caring and kind

Cheerful and friendly

Willing to be hands‐on with patients

Willing to perform personal care duties

Able to follow instructions and procedures

Team player yet able to use initiative

Strong communication skills

Senior Carer Additional Requirements

Blood pressure monitoring

Medication management

Task allocation to carers

Reporting to Manager

Reporting to supervisor

Additional Requirements

Drivers preferred due to nature of work

No set entry requirements; good literacy and numeracy expected

Training and Career Progression

Training includes basic nursing skills and progression towards Care Certificate

Opportunity to study Level 2 and Level 3 Health and Social Care qualifications
