Autism Support Worker

OverviewA fantastic specialist school in Oxford is looking for an Autism Support Worker to join their friendly team, starting as soon as next week. This is an exciting opportunity to support children and teenagers with a primary diagnosis of autism. Many pupils also have ADHD, communication challenges, and other behaviour needs. You will help them on their journey to adulthood, supporting their education, social and emotional development.

Responsibilities

Support with behaviour management and emotional regulation.

Promote positive behaviour expression.

Support with social skills and independent living skills, such as cooking, money management, and personal care.

Implement strategies advised by educational psychologists and behaviour specialists.

Participate in training and ongoing professional development such as safeguarding, Autism Awareness, Makaton, and Team Teach.

Qualifications & ExperiencePrevious experience working with children would be beneficial, but is not essential.

Pay: £90 - £100 per day
