Oral & Maxillofacial (Outpatients) – Weekend Insourcing OpportunitiesLocation: Hampshire

Availability: Saturdays & Sundays

Rates: Competitive

We are currently seeking experienced Oral & Maxillofacial nurse to support weekend insourcing clinics in Southampton, helping deliver NHS waiting list initiatives across:

Patient care pathways

Cancer pathways

Anaesthetic procedures, biopsies, and minor plastic or facial surgeries

This is an excellent opportunity to join experienced teams delivering high-quality patient care throughout all stages of the perioperative pathway.

RequirementsTo be considered, you must:

Be currently working within an NHS trust in an Oral & Maxillofacial service – In outpatients

Have recent, hands‐on experience supporting patients within: Biopsies

Have been actively undertaking this work for at least 6 months within the past 12 months

Registered Nurse (RN) qualification

Active registration as a Registered Nurse (NMC) or Dental Nurse (GDC)

Recent post‐registration experience in oral and maxillofacial surgery or on surgical wards

Responsibilities include supporting with:

Preparing patients for clinics, providing support to anxious patients

Delivering sensitive pre‐ and post‐operative education (such as oral hygiene and cancer care); Clinic and treatment room preparation

Assisting clinicians to ensure safe and efficient patient care delivery
