As a Health Care Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting clients in their homes, enabling them to maintain their independence and quality of life.Assist clients with their daily needs, including personal care, hygiene routines, and mobility supportPrepare nutritious meals and help with feeding when requiredProvide medication support, ensuring clients take prescribed medicines as directedAccompany clients on social outings and medical appointmentsEngage in companionship activities, fostering a positive and supportive environmentMaintain a clean and safe living environment for clientsCollaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive careMonitor and report any changes in clients' health or wellbeingComplete accurate and timely documentation of care providedAdhere to all health and safety regulations and company policiesQualifications No formal qualifications required, but experience in a care setting or interacting with older people is advantageousGenuine passion for supporting others and delivering outstanding serviceExcellent communication skills and ability to build professional relationshipsReliable, trustworthy, and respectful demeanourComfortable spending time in the company of others and providing companionshipPhysical fitness to assist with daily tasks and support client mobilityBasic literacy and numeracy skills for maintaining accurate recordsAbility to work flexibly, including every other weekendStrong time management and organisational skillsEmpathetic and patient approach to careAbility to follow care plans and maintain confidentialityRight to work in the UK (essential)Willingness to undergo a DBS enhanced disclosure checkAdditional Information Here's what some of our care assistants have to say about working at Home Instead ."It's like working for a big happy family.""I've been working for Home Instead Bath & West Wiltshire for 5 months and of the many different jobs I've done, it's the one I'm enjoying the most!
