As an Evening Care Assistant, you will play a crucial role in providing essential support and care to our clients in their homes during the evening hours.Assist clients with personal care tasks, including bathing, dressing, and groomingPrepare nutritious meals and snacks according to clients' dietary requirementsPerform light housework to maintain a clean and safe living environmentProvide companionship and emotional support to clientsAccompany clients to evening appointments or social activities when requiredAdminister medication as directed by healthcare professionalsMonitor and report any changes in clients' health or wellbeingMaintain accurate records of care provided and any incidents or concernsCollaborate with other care team members to ensure continuity of careRespond appropriately to emergencies and seek assistance when necessaryQualifications Genuine passion for caring for others and a compassionate naturePrevious experience in a care assistant role is preferred but not essentialExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsAbility to work independently and as part of a teamPhysical fitness to assist clients with mobility and personal care tasksReliability and punctuality, with a strong work ethicBasic first aid knowledge (training can be provided)Valid driving licence and access to own vehicle (preferred)Flexibility to work evening shifts and occasional weekendsWillingness to undergo a DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) checkCommitment to maintaining client confidentiality and dignity at all timesAbility to follow care plans and adhere to company policies and proceduresAdditional Information Competitive pay: £13.25per hour between 09:30 - 18:00 on weekdays, £14.25per hour on evenings, early mornings and weekends.Eligibility for the Blue Light Card discount scheme.EarlyPay - access up to 50% of your pay before payday.Employee Assistance Programme with 24/7 confidential support and counselling.For more information, please contact Lewis at the Havant Office on 02393 190091.
