Senior Care AssistantKnights Grove Care Home, Thomas Road, North Baddesley, Southampton SO52 9EW33 Hour Contract£13.45 - £15.02

About the role: As a Senior Care Assistant at Knights Grove, you will lead a team of Care Assistants, manage day‐to‐day unit operations, oversee medication administration, review care plans, maintain accurate records, train and supervise new staff, build relationships with residents, families and external teams, and assist residents with personal care duties.

Responsibilities

Day‐to‐day responsibility for running a unit

Responsible for issuing medication, reviewing care plans and accurate record keeping

Leading and managing a team of Care Assistants, including responsibility for all shift handovers of the teams

Helping with training and supervision of new staff members so they feel welcomed and supported

Building relationships with residents, their families and external teams such as GPs and District Nurses

Assisting residents with a range of personal care duties

Qualifications and Experience

Completed or working towards an NVQ3 in care (Clinical Lead)

Motivated, positive, with excellent interpersonal skills

Previous experience in a similar role, aware of its rewards and challenges

Passion for making a real difference to people's lives, giving them kindness, personalised support and dignity

Clinical expertise required for CQC responsibilities
