About us Part of London + Regional Hotels, The Lensbury Resort is located on the Banks of the River Thames at Teddington and is home to an exclusive leisure club, a 155 bedroom hotel, meeting and events space, restaurant and bar, Spa and 25 acres of gardens and grounds.The Role As a qualified Childcare Assistant, you will be responsible for creating a safe, welcoming and engaging setting for our youngest members. This includes supervising play, supporting children's wellbeing, maintaining high standards of care, and ensuring all safeguarding and health & safety procedures are followed.Key Responsibilities Ensure a safe environment is provided for all Crèche users, offering appropriate social, creative, and fun activities.Assist with basic administrative tasks such as registers and equipment checks.Follow all Crèche policies, safeguarding procedures, and behaviour management guidelines.Maintain confidentiality in line with safeguarding and Data Protection regulations.Report any welfare concerns to the Junior Activities Coordinator or the designated Child Welfare Officer.Adhere to all health and safety regulations and club policies.Maintain a clean, safe, and hazard-free environment.Be fully trained and prepared for emergency and evacuation procedures.Deliver excellent customer service in line with Lensbury standards.Communicate professionally and warmly with parents, guardians, and colleagues.Carry out additional duties as requiredWhat we're looking for To be successful in this role, you must possess the following qualifications, attitude, behaviours, skills, and values:Minimum Level 2 Childcare qualification required (Level 3 desirable)Previous experience in a similar environmentA genuine passion for creating great experiences for children and their familiesA friendly, calm and approachable nature, with the ability to act quickly and effectivelyPaediatric First Aid (or willingness to complete)Safeguarding training (or willingness to complete)Benefits Discounts at The Lensbury and across the L+R Hotels portfolioUse of some leisure facilities; including gym & swimming poolEAP with 24/7 helpline for you and your familyBenefits portal with Hospitality Rewards, offering discounts across major brandsTeam Member Awards and Social events throughout the yearFree meals whilst on duty and free parkingCycle to work schemeRefer a Friend programmePaid annual leave of 28 days including public holidaysOpportunities for professional development and trainingA vibrant, supportive team culture in a stunning riverside location
