We have an exciting opportunity to join our acute Occupational Therapy service.
You will work with minimal supervision to implement agreed Occupational Therapy plans as prescribed by the registered Occupational Therapist, including ongoing Occupational Therapy intervention and rehabilitation. You will be supported by a registered therapist to actively contribute to the patient journey, develop your skills and be a part of a dedicated therapy and multidisciplinary team.
Having an awareness of the role of Occupational Therapy in the acute setting and clearly demonstrating this in your application is essential. You will be compassionate, show initiative, have good communication and time management skills and work well within a team.
There will be a commitment to weekend working in the Occupational Therapy team at RIE as part of the 5 over 7 day working pattern.
Therapy Services actively support staff development through appraisal process, supervision and CPD opportunities.
You must have a legal right to work in the United Kingdom.
Applicants must have a PVG Scheme membership/record. If the post holder is not a current PVG member for the required regulatory group (i.e., child and/or adult) an application will need to be made to Disclosure Scotland and deemed satisfactory before they can begin in post. Due to legislative changes from 1 April 2025, this post may require a different level of criminal records check than is currently the case. If the post is assessed as a regulated role, your appointment will be subject to joining the Protecting Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme. Any changes to the current requirements will be confirmed by the Hiring Manager or the Recruitment Team.
