About The Role And Our Ideal CandidateWe are looking for a teacher to plan and deliver an Early Years and Children course for adult learners (19+) in South London. The course will facilitate attainment of Level 1 Working with Children, Level 2 Early Years Practitioner and Level 3 Diploma for Working in the Early Years Sector (Early Years Educator) qualifications from NCFE.

Plans and delivers a programme of tuition in the designated subject area.

Inducts learners and ensures Health and Safety, Equality, Diversity & Inclusion, Safeguarding, Prevent and other KAE policies are implemented.

Assesses entry, monitors and documents progress, and provides line manager with relevant documentation in line with KAE's quality procedures.

Assists in promotion of courses by supplying timely information for publication and prospective learner advice.

Prepares materials and documentation (scheme of work, lesson plans, class profile, ILPs, tutor reviews) and submits to the line manager.

Teaches the course in accordance with the agreed scheme, awarding body requirements and service and funding obligations.

Negotiates aims and learning objectives, adapting programmes to meet learner needs and ensuring differentiation.

Assesses learner work, marks classwork/homework where appropriate, and gives developmental feedback on SPAG.

Maintains learner attendance register for each session.

Participates in staff development, meetings, and the Annual Staff Conference to adopt best practice.

Maintains care of equipment and learners under their charge.

Liaises with managers regarding absent or prematurely withdrawn learners.

Monitors progress, verifies learning goal attainment, and advises on suitable progression routes.

Promotes staff wellbeing, models RBK policies, and reports safeguarding or Prevent concerns per policy.

Undertakes any other duties commensurate with the post.
