Secondary Learning Support Assistant - SEN Department - IlfordFull Time Term Time Only ASAP & September Starts AvailableUp to 120 per day Long Term Role (Temp to Perm)Long Term Futures are recruiting a dedicated and proactive Secondary Learning Support Assistant to join a secondary school in Ilford, working within the SEN department to support students across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4.
This is a great opportunity for someone with experience in SEN support or a strong interest in working with students who require additional support to access the curriculum. You will play a key role in helping pupils achieve both academically and personally.
Key Responsibilities
Provide 1:1 and small-group support within the SEN department
Support students with a range of needs including ASD, ADHD, SEMH and learning difficulties
Assist pupils in lessons and during intervention sessions
Work closely with teachers, SENCo and pastoral teams
Help implement EHCP targets and support plans
Promote engagement, independence and inclusion
Ideal Candidate Will Have
Experience supporting students with SEN needs (desirable)
Confidence working in a secondary school environment
A patient, proactive and adaptable approach
Strong communication and relationship-building skills
Understanding of safeguarding and inclusive practice
Background in education, youth work or care (desirable)
Location & Transport - Ilford, East London
Accessible via Ilford Station (Elizabeth Line)
Close to Gants Hill and Newbury Park (Central Line)
