Aspire People are recruiting for a creative and enthusiastic Psychology graduate to support pupils within a primary school setting.
This role is ideal for graduates who are passionate about child development, behaviour, emotional wellbeing, and inclusive education. Schools are increasingly recognising the value Psychology graduates can bring when supporting pupils with additional needs, communication barriers, anxiety, and SEMH challenges.
The role will involve working closely with teaching staff to support children both academically and emotionally, helping to create a safe, engaging, and supportive learning environment.
Graduates with interests in mental health, behavioural development, SEND, or pastoral support are strongly encouraged to apply.
Key Responsibilities
Supporting pupils across classroom activities and intervention sessions
Helping children develop emotional regulation and coping strategies
Supporting pupils with SEND, SEMH, and behavioural needs
Encouraging positive social interaction and classroom engagement
Assisting with behaviour management and pastoral support
Building trusted relationships with pupils and staff
This Role Would Suit Someone Who
Holds a Psychology degree
Is interested in child psychology, mental health, or education
Wants to gain school‐based experience before further training or study
Is creative, adaptable, and approachable
Has strong communication and relationship‐building skills
Has experience working with children, youth work, care work, or mentoring (desirable)
