Salary: £110–£115 per day

The OpportunityWe are looking for a bright and enthusiastic Science Graduate to join a forward-thinking secondary school in Barnet as a Teaching Assistant. You'll work closely with students aged 11–16, supporting them in science lessons. This is a fantastic first step for graduates in a supportive and welcoming secondary school.

Your Role Will Involve

Assisting teachers in delivering engaging science lessons

Supporting students 1:1 or in small groups with classwork, homework, and revision

Helping to manage behaviour and maintain a positive learning environment

Offering targeted support to students who may need extra help grasping key scientific concepts

Contributing to wider school life, including extracurricular activities and enrichment

What We're Looking For

A degree in a science subject (Biology, Chemistry, Physics, or related field)

A genuine interest in working with young people and in education

Some experience with secondary-aged pupils – e.g., through tutoring, mentoring, summer schools, or previous TA work is ideal but not essential

A confident communicator with good organisational skills

A proactive, positive, and reliable approach
