Employability Trainer/Tutor

Job description

We are recruiting for an Employability Trainer (Tutor) to deliver high impact, engaging and interactive employment skills to groups of participants and individuals via 1‐2‐1s and workshops. The groups will receive focused skills training such as CV writing, transferable skills analysis, job search and interview skill preparation to help them move on to achieve and sustain new employment.

Key Information

Location: Blackburn, Burnley, Accrington – you must be willing to work across all three locations. Travel expenses will be covered for journeys to offices other than your designated base location.

Salary: Starting £27,642, rising to £29,407 upon successful completion of the 9‐month probationary period.

Responsibilities

Facilitate face‐to‐face and digital employability sessions to groups and individuals via 1‐2‐1 tutoring and coaching.

Select appropriate facilitation methods or activities, design and develop interventions to meet participant requirements and help develop realistic job goals and career paths.

Manage participants both face‐to‐face and virtually, encouraging participation and ongoing engagement with employability interventions.

Work collaboratively with operational teams to deliver high‐impact training solutions including mock interviews, "how to" sessions and other work‐preparation activities.

Meet personal performance targets, key performance indicators (KPIs) and all quality and compliance measures.

Provide advice, guidance and constructive challenge to develop customers' capability in the recruitment process, ensuring they have the necessary skills and confidence to secure realistic job goals.

About You

Experience delivering high‐impact, engaging and interactive group training sessions.

Experience working in a customer‐focused, results‐driven environment.

Experience providing group support and coaching to individuals, with the ability to constructively challenge where needed.

Desirable Qualifications

A recognized teaching or training qualification (e.g., PTLLS, CELTA, ESOL).

Knowledge of recruitment legislation and the local labour market.

Knowledge and experience of the employability sector.
