Job Overview McCarthy & Stone are recruiting a professional Relief Care Assistant at Barnhill Court, a Retirement Living Plus development.Pay & Hours Hourly rate: £13.26 per hour, plus up to an additional £1.30 for working evenings and weekends.Hours: Cover shifts on an 'as and when' basis, to be discussed with the development manager.Responsibilities Provide the highest quality of individual care to residents, enabling them to live well into later life.Deliver housekeeping and domestic support across the general estate, including apartment cleans.Support and encourage residents to participate in activities that support their health and wellbeing.Assist residents with booking appointments, arranging transport, escorting them on visits, and helping with shopping.Qualifications Warm, friendly individual with ideally some experience in a care or support environment.Passion for improving the wellbeing and happiness of older people and enjoyment working as part of a busy team.Driven to deliver excellent customer service.Preferably QCF Health and Social Care (Adults) Level 2 qualification or equivalent.Benefits 28 days holiday inclusive of bank holidays (pro rata if part‐time).Up to an additional £1.30 for working evenings and weekend hours.Life insurance.Company pension.Opportunities to stay in our guest suites across all our developments UK‐wide.Discounts on apartment purchases for employees and immediate family.Management and leadership training and support with professional qualifications.24/7 access to Employee Assist Programme (including counsellors and legal advisors) and access to in‐house Mental Health First Aiders.Eligibility Only UK based applications are considered; we do not offer sponsorship.EEO & Diversity We celebrate diversity and promote equality and inclusion among our colleagues.
