We are seeking talented and caring individuals who want to begin or continue their career in Social Care with us, making a difference to the lives of our residents at Renaissance Care.

We are searching for experienced Care Assistants to join our team in Glencairn Care Home for 35 hours, working night shift.

Care Assistants are at the forefront of resident engagement. They support and encourage meaningful interactions to ensure residents live with purpose and connection. Those covering night shifts participate in person‐centred activities, particularly through 1:1 care and promoting lifestyle and wellbeing choices for all residents.

The Care Assistant role is to ensure the highest quality, person‐centred care for all residents – supporting the delivery of each individual care plan. The role promotes the independence and choice of residents, making sure that their voice is heard through all elements of care and support. It offers variety and versatility as no two shifts are the same. Key elements of care include assisting with personal care, promoting a positive mealtime experience to enhance nutrition and hydration, supporting meaningful connections and creating 1:1 meaningful activities.

An essential aspect of the role is upholding the values of People, Friendly, Passionate and Inclusion. The successful candidate will be an effective communicator and work well as part of a multi‐disciplinary team. Having an SVQ2 and previous experience in the care sector is beneficial but not essential as full training is provided.
