We are looking for health care assistants to join our Frailty wards in the new frailty block.Are you passionate about providing excellent care and promoting independence for frail elderly patients?Do you want to work with in a team who will help you learn and develop your skills as a health care support worker?If so this position is for you!Main duties of the job The main duties of the role of a health care support worker on the frailty ward is to provide high standards of patient care, providing personal care, helping patients with their dietary and fluid intake, helping them use the toilet, and to assist with repositioning.Good communication skills are essential in this role, alongside the ability to document and escalat e any worries to the trained staff.Experience Working with peopleProven experience in ward environmentskills knowledge and abilities Demonstrate ability to communicate orally and in writingDemonstrate knowledge of roles and responsibilities within clinical settingKeyboard SkillsDemonstrate ability to communicate in English orally and in writingA minimum Maths and English GCSE grades 3 - 9 or grades A,B,C,D or equivalent qualificationsDiploma level 2/3 in Health & Social CareDisclosure and Barring Service Check This post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975 and as such it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service (formerly known as CRB) to check for any previous criminal convictions.
