Role OverviewThis is a companionship‐focused role, providing emotional reassurance, a calming presence, and light practical support within the home and on short local walks. The position is not medically intensive but requires patience, understanding, and consistency.

Responsibilities

Provide companionship and reassurance when the client is alone.

Support the client during anxiety and panic episodes in a calm, reassuring manner.

Accompany on short walks locally, including walks with the client's dog.

Assist in maintaining a relaxed, structured environment.

Be a trusted, friendly presence to help build confidence and independence over time.

Essential Requirements

Must hold a valid driving licence and have access to a car.

Kind, patient, and empathetic nature.

Reliable and trustworthy, with a calm demeanor.

Comfortable with dogs and cats.

Good communication skills and ability to build trust.

Desirable

Experience with anxiety disorders or mental health support (preferred but not essential).

Flexible availability.

Hours & Pay

Flexible, part‐time hours (primarily when the client's spouse is out of the home).

Competitive hourly rate, depending on experience.
